Avoiding Spam Reviews with a Captcha

One of the biggest problems facing any website owner, especially when it comes to reviews/comments, is spam. Unfortunately there are people out there would want to do little more than spread something as much as possible by posting it to hundreds, maybe even thousands of websites comment and review boards. To combat this there have been several methods instituted. One of the most successful, although still somewhat susceptible, is captcha. Captcha codes aim to prevent bots from passing by requiring the user to enter a somewhat difficult to read image.

What this Mod Does for You

This mod, when installed, will allow you to include a simple captcha box on your review page which users will be required to enter to submit a review for one of your products. It also has a reload option to bring up a new image if they are having difficulty reading the one they received and an audio option to ensure that even visually disabled users can make use of it.
