EasyFTP

EasyFTP is a Visual Basic ActiveX component which is designed to provide easy FTP access. It utilizes the Windows INET DLL library which is available on all versions of Windows since Windows 95 so no external components are required for its use.

Purpose

The primary purpose of EasyFTP is to allow Visual Basic developers to add FTP access to their applications. There are many reasons this may be necessary such as for providing an update service or for accessing the FTP in a text editor.

Benefits

EasyFTP supports all major FTP servers along with Binary and ASCII downloads. It also supports the option to download into a file or into a string. This is especially beneficial for applications which require FTP support for downloading text files for editing.
